Synopsis:
Two sisters, Kate & Rachel, travel to a remote Scottish island with their boyfriends, Russell and Sean. Kate and Russell have been together for years, whereas Rachel, the younger of the two, has been seeing Sean for only a few weeks.

The island is beautiful and barren. There are no roads or cards, just a lone house. The first night the two couples stay in the house, Sean and Kate find themselves along together. He seduces her and they make love.

Sean wants to carry on their affair, but Kate rejects his ongoing advances. She wants to conceal their betrayal from Rachel and Russell. As Kate tries to resist him, Sean becomes increasingly disturbed and possessive. Rachel confides in Kate, trying to understand what has changed Sean, but Kate is unable to answer. She cannot bring herself to reveal the truth to Rachel or Russell.

As Sean becomes more persistent and violent he begins to turn his aggression toward Russell, who decides they must leave the island. Sean, however, has different plans...
