Los
Angeles, CA
Looking to make a profound impact with a powerful new slate, Bleiberg
Entertainment, the Los Angeles-based production and international
sales company, announced today that it is co-producing and handling
worldwide sales for two distinct new films - the thrilling espionage
documentary “The Champagne Spy” and the heartwarming
drama “Love & Dance.” The announcement was made
by the company’s Chairman & CEO Ehud Bleiberg.
From the only production team trusted by the inner-circle of Israel's
preeminent intelligence agency (the Mossad) comes “The Champagne
Spy,” a Bleiberg Entertainment production in association with
July August Productions.
After 40 years of silence, audiences can hear the real story documented
from an insider's perspective as a son reveals his father's secret
life through family archives and his 8mm camera and shadow operatives
break their silence.
The documentary focuses on a legendary spy caught in a life he couldn't
leave behind, torn between two worlds, two families and two countries.
On a mission to Cairo, this Israeli officer would become the ex-Nazi
millionaire-Playboy, Wolfgang Lotz. A horse breeder and spy with
orders to penetrate the government's elite society and destroy the
Egyptian weapons of mass destruction program, led by Nazi scientists.
He assumed a covert identity and everything that came with it -
extravagant wealth, exotic women and powerful influence among world
leaders, and became a spy addicted to his alternate identity.
“Champagne Spy” is directed by Nadav Schirman. The film
is now in production and expected to be finished in spring 2006.
